taco bell menu

Taco bell menu, an intriguing menu that includes items from all shape and sizes.

Sounds crazy but Taco Bells Burritos has a reputation for having the most dense caloric fast foods in the world, Is this true? or over exaggeration?

You have an array of items such as taco supreme, grilled taco or the double decker taco, sometimes its hard to tell what is exactly healthy.

In this post, we’ll go over the Taco bell menu and choose 17 of the worst burritos you can eat. Lets go!

TACO BELL MENU

We will only analyze the nutritional content per standard serving. You can always add extra tomatoes, refined beans, premium guacamole etc, so keep in mind you can always alter the caloric value.

As you examine the Taco Bell Menu, you will notice that most things is either made with beef, chicken, steak or beans.

The worst item in the Taco Bell menu, the XXL grilled stuft beef burrito contains the most calories with 2170 mg of sodium. The recommended daily sodium intake is around 1500 mg. Has my vote for the worst and most unhealthy burrito on the menu.

2) XXL GRILLED STUFT BURRITO STEAK

Vitamin A 15%, Vitamin C 90%, Calcium 40%, Iron 35%

Just because you seen chicken on the Taco Bell menu, it doesn’t necessarily mean its healthy. Our grilled stuft chicken burrito contains 10 fewer calories compared with spot number one, the only difference is the protein source. Tastes amazing but must be avoided at all cost when dieting.

4) SMOTHERED BEEF BURRITOS

SMOTHERED BEEF BURRITOS

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG

The most popular item in the Taco Bell Menu, can also be the most unhealthy. Our smothered beef burrito contains 690 calories but don’t be fooled, it has 60 more milligrams of sodium compared with spot number one. Also notice the lack of vitamin C compared with the others above.

650 calories for a meal that easily surpasses your daily recommended sodium allowance. To put that into perspective, one Mcnugget from McDonald’s contains 3 grams of carbohydrates. This burrito is equivalent to almost 23 Mcnuggets!

6) SMOTHERED BURRITO SHREDDED CHICKEN

Has the same calories as our shredded chicken smothered burrito, but somehow contains 810 mg less sodium. The only healthy thing about this is the high calcium and iron intake.

8) TACO BELL STEAK QUESARITO

TACO BELL STEAK QUESARITO

calories 620, fat 30g, cholesterol 65mg, sodium 1380mg, carbohydrate 64g, dietary fiber 3g, sugar 4g, protein 24g

Vitamin A 10%, Vitamin C 2%, Calcium 40%, Iron 30%

Vitamin A 15%, Vitamin C 2%, Calcium 40%, Iron 25%

Contains: gluten, milk, eggs, wheat, soy

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG

When glancing at the taco bell menu, you might assume this a healthier version because you see chicken right? But when you combine latin rice, sour cream and melted cheese, it quickly overpowers your burrito and it becomes a caloric monster.

10) BEEFY 5 LAYER BURRITO

BEEFY 5 LAYER BURRITO

What happens when Taco Bell combines five popular ingredients together? This monster, which serves up nearly half your day worth of carbs and 1270mg of sodium in one serving.

11) CHEESY POTATO BURRITO

CHEESY POTATO BURRITO

calories 480, fat 22g, cholesterol 40mg, sodium 1280mg, carbohydrate 54g, dietary fiber 7g, sugar 4g, protein 18g

Vitamin A 10%, Vitamin C 2%, Calcium 15%, Iron 25%

Contains: gluten, milk, wheat, soy

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG, Eggs

480 calories is roughly equal to an 6-inch subway black Wheat Bread sandwich topped with black forest ham. A much better alternative with half the sodium content.

12) TACO BELL COMBO BURRITO

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG, soy, eggs

It starts with a layer of re-fried beans, followed by latin rice, than guacamole, shredded lettuce, three cheese blend, diced tomatoes, and lastly sour cream. What you get is a monster that serves up nearly two-thirds of your daily sodium intake.

One of my least favorite items on the Taco Bell Menu.

14) CHEESY BEAN AND RICE BURRITO

CHEESY BEAN AND RICE BURRITO

calories 420, fat 17g, cholesterol 5mg, sodium 920mg, carbohydrate 55g, dietary fiber 6g, sugar 4g, protein 11g

Re-fried beans, Latin rice and nacho cheese sauce, the carbohydrate and sodium content is still fairly high.

15) LOADED POTATO GRILLER

LOADED POTATO GRILLER

Vitamin A 4%, Vitamin C 2%, Calcium 15%, Iron 15%

Contains: gluten, milk, wheat

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG, soy, eggs

You get bacon, followed by nacho-cheese sauce, potato bites and sour cream. All these ingredients make up 410 calories and have no place in a healthy diet.

16) BLACK BEAN BURRITO

BLACK BEAN BURRITO

Vitamin A 6%, Vitamin C 2%, Calcium 25%, Iron 25%

Contains: gluten, milk, wheat

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG, soy, eggs

Even though it contains beans, the other ingredients make this burrito a sodium and carbohydrate monster. This is equivalent to putting pineapple on a pizza and calling it healthy.

17) BEAN BURRITO

taco bell menu

calories 370, fat 11g, cholesterol 5mg, sodium 1060mg, carbohydrate 55g, dietary fiber 9g, sugar 3g, protein 14g

Vitamin A 4%, Vitamin C 4%, Calcium 20%, Iron 25%

Contains: gluten, milk, wheat

No: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, MSG, soy, eggs

Stuffed with re-fried beans, real cheddar cheese and diced onion, you still get over 1000 mg of sodium and almost 400 calories. In the Taco Bell menu, this is one of the healthier alternatives.
